Discussion
with Anurupa Roy (Delhi, India)

Interviewer: Birte Werner
Anurupa Roy is puppeteer, director and co-founder of the puppet theatre Katkatha in Delhi, which has a studio in the city’s Jaitpur district. In 2017/2018, her many activities included the realisation of a comprehensive seven-week mentoring programme for professional theatre makers in India: based on every-day materials, 16 directors and performers from seven companies developed theatre concepts for children and put the productions on stage. In two of the three project phases, Barbara Kölling and Anna-Sophia Zimniak assisted them as mentors and advisors. Anurupa Roy will be talking about this project and about her work at the puppet theatre Katkatha.
Birte Werner is programme manager at the performing arts unit at Bundesakademie für Kulturelle Bildung Wolfenbüttel.
