Interviewer: Kirstin Hess

Lwanda Sindaphi is the director of “Paired”. Following a two-year training programme at Magnet Theatre (Cape Town), he became a “theatre maker”. He belongs to the generation of young South African artists who question the current artistic historical narrative and who wish to tell stories from different perspectives. With this in mind, he will be discussing his theatrical work, as well as projects such as “Lingua Franca Spoken Word Movement”.

Kirstin Hess is dramaturg at Junges Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf. In 2016/17, she realised the German-Nigerian co-production “Obisike: It Takes A Lion’s Heart”.
